Q&A 24 Q.  How are these articles divided? A.  Into three parts: God the Father and our creation; God the Son and our deliverance; God the Holy Spirit and our sanctification.

Q&A 25 Q. Since there is but one God, why do you speak of three: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? A. Because that is how God has revealed Himself in His Word: these three distinct persons are one, true, eternal God. Deut. 6:4; 1 Cor. 8:4, 6; Matt. 3:16-17, 28:18-19; Luke 4:18; Isa. 61:1; John 14:26, 15:26; 2 Cor.13:14

Scripture Reading

Genesis 27:1-4 1 When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could not see, he called his older son Esau and said to him, “My son.” And he answered, “Here I am.” 2 He said, “Look, I am old and do not know the day of my death. 3 So now take your hunting gear, your quiver and bow, and go out in the field to hunt some game for me. 4 Then make me a delicious meal that I love and bring it to me to eat, so that I can bless you before I die.”

Galatians 3:13-14 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. 14 The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.
