A That we neither blaspheme nor misuse the name of God by cursing, perjury, or
unnecessary oaths, nor share in such horrible sins by being silent bystanders. In
a word, it requires that we use the holy name of God only with reverence and
awe.

Q Is blasphemy of God's name by swearing and cursing really such serious sin
that God is angry also with those who do not do all they can to help prevent it
and forbid it?
A Yes, indeed. No sin is greater, no sin makes God more angry than
blaspheming His name. That is why He commanded the death penalty for it.

we welcome special guest pastor, Greg Alderman. Greg serves as the Executive Director for
the Alliance of Reformed Churches.
GRIEF SHARE Class- Begins January 21st-April 15th, Wednesdays, 6:30- 8:00pm.
Mike & Lynn Bowler will host this faith based support program for
individuals grieving the loss of a loved one. Sign-up with Lynn- 916-508-8775,

at Julia Davis Park, then we’ll march to the Capitol Steps. Take this opportunity

WOMEN’S INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY WORKSHOP- Saturday, January 31st ,10am-2pm.
This Women's Workshop will be pre-recorded video Bible lessons
from Nancy Guthrie. Nancy's expository teaching walks us through various
Scripture passages from the Old and New Testament to deepen our
understanding of emptiness and fruitfulness. Cost is $25 per person to help
cover materials and food. Please register on the church app by Sunday,
January 18th. Study materials will be provided. Special Note: There is
homework -personal Bible study- prior to the workshop date. Catered lunch
will be provided. Childcare is not available
YOUTH ROPES & ROCK WALL CLIMBING- Saturday, February 21st ,1:00-3:30pm.
Join us for an afternoon of climbing, friends and facing fears
together. Vertical View has some of the tallest climbing walls in the Treasure
Valley and an epic ropes course designed to help people challenge themselves
in a safe, fun environment. Whether you’ve never climbed before or you’re
basically a spider monkey, this event is for you! RSVP on the church app or
website.
